Film Industry (P2)

 FILM INDUSTRY The last film I watched was Fantastic Mr Fox. The film is a stop motion animation and I watched it on Disney+. Within the class, nobody watched their most recent film in the cinema and half of the class watched their most recent film alone. This differs to around 10 years ago, where the majority of people would likely have watched it in the cinema. In cinemas, there are seasonal variations . For example, in October there are many horror films being shown due to Halloween upcoming. These are different globally as certain countries may not release certain films. For example, if a country is highly religious and the majority of people don't celebrate Halloween, it is unlikely that Halloween films will be shown. Seasonal variations can also link to the time in history and the current events in the world . For example, 'The Apprentice' was released during the American 2024 election. Shelter (P1)

'Shelter' is a UK based housing and homelessness charity (less money to spend on advertising and marketing than commercial campaigns, hence more print based). The campaign targets liberal reformers and carers, family orientated, male/female. Main focus of the campaign is to direct potential charity. users to seek advice and help.  The advert is real and doesn't include any photoshop or airbrushed faces-it shows the true reality. The use of ordinary people in distress provides a key selling point of many charity campaigns. There is a dual target audience- those experiencing problems and those who can help via donation.
